Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has insisted he is open to signing a new contract with the club but is leaving the decision to the club.

Donnarumma has just led PSG to a Champions League final after a fine display as they beat Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals, where they will face Inter Milan in Munich.

“I have one more year on my contract, so it depends on the club. If PSG wants me to stay, I will stay.”
“We just have to sign a new contract, but it depends on the club,” the goalkeeper said.
There are no reports yet on whether PSG has made a new offer to the former AC Milan goalkeeper for consideration.
PSG have dropped their interest in Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier in favour of instilling faith in Donnarumma following some impressive displays in recent weeks. Paris will be hoping that this display of faith is enough to convince the 26-year-old to pen new terms with the Ligue 1 club.
There is a sense in Paris of the 26-year-old, who stands 1.96m tall, finally imposing himself at the club he joined in 2021.
Donnarumma had just starred for Italy in their European Championship triumph, performing heroics as they beat England at Wembley to win the trophy.
But he was forced to share the gloves with Keylor Navas in his first season, in which he was notably guilty of a costly error in a Champions League collapse against Real Madrid.
Donnarumma did go on to establish himself as PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper, but he has not always convinced.
There has been plenty of speculation that the club might look to replace the goalkeeper whose contract expires at the end of next season.
