Yuji Ukai FFRI, inc. Founder/Chief Executive Officer
Yuji Ukai was your typical computer geek until he became a hacking victim during graduate school. A Ph.D., he began analyzing the hack, which led him to conduct his own research. Later, while working at Kodak’s R&D Center, Yuji was invited to join a security venture firm called eEye Digital Security, and moved to the United States. While doing a vulnerability analysis for the company, he realized there was no institution in Japan to study this critical IT facet. Yuji decided to return home to remedy that, and in 2007 founded FFRI, Inc. to craft a more secure computer environment for the nation. As FFRI’s president, he leads vulnerability analyses and deep research into malware, information security, secure software development and embedded system security.
